Spring Season
Nebraska Omaha is gearing up for the competitive college season. We plan on attending Hendrix Ultimate Experience in Conway Arkansas, The Free State Classic in Overland Park Kansas, Midwest Throwdown in St. Louis Missouri, Fools Fest in Lawrence Kansas, and hosting the Omaha Open the 9th and 10th of April. Each event that we go to will be USAU sanctioned in order to help the West Plains Section grab another bid to regions. Breakmark will be making our reversible jerseys, with logos created in-house.

Announcement: Omaha Open tournament - April 9-10, 2011
We are very pleased to announce a new Spring Tournament for Men and Women, The Omaha Open. The University of Nebraska at Omaha is hosting a College Ultimate Tournament April 9th and 10th 2011. Unfortunately this is after the sanctioning deadline, but it will still be a great tune-up for everyone involved. The two designated sectionals weekends are the 16th-17th and 23rd-24th of April, so this will not conflict with Sectionals! OMAHA OPEN WEBSITE

Missouri Loves Company

UNO went 3-1 on Saturday to finish 2nd in its pool. Saturday included a quality victory over Truman State on universe point. Sunday morning was the "chumpionship bracket" playing for 17th place. UNO beat Wisconsin Platteville 13-10 and Missouri S&T 14-12. Then they lost to Oklahoma 13-7 and Wisconsin Milwaukee 7-4 to finish in 20th place out of 39 teams. Rival team Nebrasaka Cornfed finished in a tie for 21st place.
UNO hopes that the momentum gained over the fall season will carry with them into the regular season of the Spring with the goal of a satisfying finish at DI regionals.

The Manhattan Project
Manhattan Kansas was the latest destination for the UNO team. We brought a very young team, comprised of 4 returning players, and 7 rookies. Despite the inexperience, we were able to win 2 games on universe point! Several rookies did their initiation discs, joining the players before them. Although our overall record was 2-4, every player gained valuable experience, that will make us stronger when we need it. Led by Stew Buckley and Evan Richman, the Sophomore class looks like it will be one of our best ever. Thanks to Kansas State and Tom Grund for getting us our bid, and making it a weekend to remember!
UNO Goes to Grinnell - September 18-19
This past weekend, UNO competed in Elephantitis in Grinnell, Iowa. It was a soggy weekend to say the least. We broke in 5 rookies, and played some good competitive ultimate. Our record was not very good, at 2-5 on the weekend, but our play was better than the results showed. Two of those 5 losses were by one point, first to Grinnell Alumni, then to Missouri in the Pre-Quarters 9-8.
